Ash cloud from Etna volcano observed at 3.7 km, Italy

A thin and narrow ash plume from Etna volcano in Italy was observed at 3.7 km (12 000 feet) altitude at 16:00 UTC on September 28, 2026, based on satellite imagery, webcams, and VONA reports, according to the Toulouse Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC). The plume was identified in the vicinity of the crater and was described as a weak ash emission.
